BIO

What’s my story? My name is Ava Nordling (she/her) and I’m a designer building relationships.

How do I design? I start projects by asking a question and getting to know people. From there, I collect artifacts, nurture relationships, and eventually end up with more questions. I want to learn more about mycelium, somatics, and queering the design process with participatory research. Looking ahead, I plan to continue my work in civic and design technology while also tending to my collaborative art work. (Ask me about labyrinths!)

What do I do for fun? I love taking the slow way home through a public park on my way back from meeting old friends in the garden.
